Candle

A candle is a solid fuel (such as wax) with a central wick that provides light, heat, or fragrance when burned. It works by melting the wax, which is then drawn up the wick by capillary action, vaporized by the flame, and combusts with oxygen to produce light and heat. Historically used for illumination, candles are now also used for decoration, creating ambiance, and for ceremonial or religious purposes.
